I’m excited to watch my handsome boyfriend run his first marathon tomorrow :)

Aren’t best friends supposed to be supportive, as long as you’re happy, when you’re in a relationship? I’m literally with the best guy in the world, and my best friend’s first comment was: “I think you should find someone a bit older, but that’s just my opinion”… Uhm, he’s 19, and 20 in a few months, just because her boyfriend is 24. Age doesn’t define maturity, and my boyfriend is definitely not like the rest of the 19/20 year olds around here. And she hasn’t even met him, so who is she to judge?!?
Then the other day, she was asking me about how it was going with me and him, and I told her that it was going really well, and it has really helped that me and him had been friends for like 8 months prior to dating, and then she said: “Well as long as you’re happy, but in my experience the friendship turning into more usually doesn’t work.” Seriously?! Well thanks for your support, guess I won’t be talking to her about him anymore. UGH.
